Perfectly south exposed, upon clay soils, right in between Valdorcia and Valdichiana, with elevation between 290 and 380mt above sea level, the vineyards produce mostly Sangiovese (95%) and a tiny quantity of Cabernet (5%)
The vines age 18 years old (avg), and for the whole extension the planting layout is 2,80X0,80mt
During the last years before our taking over (end of 2021), due to a progressive neglecting, the grape production has dicreased until 30% of the optimal volume.
Thus the first and most important goal is to recreate the enviroment for a constant agronomic improvement, starting with the fertility of the soil to take care properly of the vines.
The challenge is emotional nd the perseverance in the reaching of the goal will be the mile stone of this journey.
Nowadays, with a no profit help of friends, we produce a small amount of bottles to be enjoyed in our agriturismo.
