Monte Amiata

Monte Amiata

Monte Amiata is an ancient volcano in Tuscany covered by beech and chestnut forests. It is an ideal destination in every season thanks to the nature and events that enliven the surrounding villages. In winter, from December to February, there is skiing and torchlight processions and Christmas festivals. In spring, between March and May, excursions and festivals of local products are organised. The summer, from June to August, is full of festivals, concerts, historical re-enactments and street festivals. In autumn, from September to November, the mountains are coloured and the villages host the famous chestnut festivals, grape harvests and local product markets.
